📘 Overview
The Foreign Trade & Exchange Office (FTEO) manages the Kingdom of Eyehasseen’s official interactions with external trade partners, overseeing the flow of goods, services, and ideas beyond its borders. This is the Kingdom’s point of contact for cross-border commerce, export oversight, import negotiation, and the harmonization of exchange customs.
While rooted in ceremony and symbolism like much of Eyehasseen governance, the FTEO also plays a pragmatic role in supporting economic diplomacy, merchant travel coordination, and ensuring that glowstones from abroad do not outshine our own.
🔄 Duties of the FTEO
- Negotiate and maintain foreign trade agreements (in coordination with the Trade Agreements Registry)
- Establish and oversee cross-border exchange standards
- Facilitate merchant access to international fairs, embassies, and neutral bazaars
- Issue Export Scrolls of Approval, Import Certificates of Curiosity, and Barter Visas
- Maintain the Directory of Recognized Partner Economies
- Monitor trade balance of actual goods and symbolic gestures
