📘 Overview
The National Parks and Forestry Service (NPFS) is a division of the Ministry of the Interior tasked with the stewardship, preservation, and public accessibility of the Kingdom’s forests, wilderness areas, natural preserves, and historic landscapes. Established by Royal Decree in 1954, the NPFS is charged with protecting Eyehasseen’s environmental and cultural heritage through the management of national parks, forest lands, and conservation zones.
Through a combination of environmental science, public engagement, and heritage conservation, the NPFS maintains the natural beauty of the Kingdom while ensuring that its resources remain accessible and sustainable for all citizens.
🌳 Core Responsibilities
Park Management & Public Access
- Operation and maintenance of designated national parks and nature preserves
- Development of public trails, camping areas, observation points, and signage
- Promotion of responsible recreation and outdoor education
- Enforcement of conservation ordinances within park lands
Forest Conservation & Ecology
- Protection of the Kingdom’s woodlands, including both native and cultivated forests
- Reforestation and tree health monitoring initiatives
- Regulation of timber harvesting, firewood permits, and forest land use
- Fire mitigation planning and coordination with regional emergency services
Biodiversity and Cultural Heritage
- Monitoring and protection of native plant and animal species
- Oversight of Sacred Grove Ordinances and protection of historically significant natural sites
- Coordination with the Ministry of Culture on heritage tree programs and landmark preservation

All national parks are open to the public during daylight hours unless otherwise posted. Fires, foraging, and construction are regulated under the Forestry Access Code.
