Sancte Leo, pastor noster,
Doctor fidei, vox verae;
Gloriam Verbi praeclaram
Servas mente et ore.
O Saint Leo, guide and teacher,
Voice of truth and faith’s defender;
Wisdom clothed in royal splendor—
Lead us ever onward.
Verse II
Trinitatis lumen clarum,
Verbum caro, spes humilis,
Doctrináque tua forti
Stamus invincibiles.
Bright the light of God most holy,
Word made flesh, our hope so lowly;
In thy teaching strong and steady
We shall stand unshaken.

Flamma verbi, mens orando,
Studium per noctem lucet;
Per silentium et libros
Ad sapientiam ducit.
Flame of truth, in prayer burning,
Through the night our minds are yearning;
In the quiet and the pages,
We are led to wisdom.
